GP Training Practice

The Practice has been accredited by the Yorkshire Deanery (University of Leeds Dept of Postgraduate Medical Education) as a training practice for GPs.

This means the practice will have attached to it a qualified doctor in training to specialise in general practice. Each doctor is with us for a period of 6-12 months.

There may be times when the new doctor may be videoing his/her consultations.

This is purely for educational training purposes of the doctor concerned and you will be asked whether you would like the camera switched off. The videos are used according to the Royal College of General Practitioners’ guidelines and are destroyed within 12 months.

We are confident that the addition of a trainee GP will enhance your experience at the practice.

We also teach medical students from the University of Leeds Medical School as well as supervise nurse practitioners from the University of Huddersfield.
